Message from the

International Commissioner

I don't suppose B.P. realised when founding the movement in 1907 that it would be a " World Wide " movement, some day, but there is no doubt about this nowadays—its boundaries are getting wider every day. No doubt Ralph Reader did not realise, either, when producing his first show in 1932 that " Gang Show" would be Nationwide and still being produced in 1 976.

Although Gang Shows are not as old as Scouting, they are bonded together on the same foundation as Scouting, namely,—" Brotherhood " and " Teamwork ". No matter whether we are " on the boards" or " backstage ", without this team spirit and sense of brotherhood, a Gang Show would never progress beyond the " rehearsal " stage. Likewise, without the support of you (the public at large and " mums " and " dads "), the organisers might as well never contemplate having a Gang Show.

May I, therefore, sign off by wishing ail the Cast, Stage and Production Staff, every success with this production, and you—the Public—an enjoyable evening's entertainment with " The Gang ".

FRANK STABLER.
